Goto Fairwind was established in Taipei with Japanese capital as a local subsidiary in October 1989. The company is a base for international intermodal transportation and also handles all aspects of logistics, including inland transportation, installation work, and packing work. In November 1992, we became the first sea freight forwarder to succeed in using computers to put B/L information online. In April 1994, we introduced IBM host machines in order to join the Goto Kaisoten online network in Southeast Asia. In connection with that, we also established an online connection with a leading Taiwanese company and are working to build a speedy information processing system for accurate business execution.

In order to make our international intermodal transportation more complete, we control our logistics within Taiwan with the same approach as that of Japanese service. We handle a wide range of products from large-scale plant to home appliances, foodstuffs, and general merchandise. We provide services that cover the whole of Taiwan and are also active over a large area that includes Hong Kong and China. All of our employees have acquired knowledge and experience in international logistics, and our import and export department organizations have mainly Japanese staff and other local staff who are fluent in Japanese. We are aiming to achieve even greater progress as a base for the strategy of the Maruma Group in Southeast Asia.
